November 14 is special

November 14 is special.  It is the birth date of Sir Frederick Banting, a Canadian medical scientist who, along with Charles Best, is credited with the discovery of insulin in 1921. Banting received the Nobel Prize for this work in 1923. His efforts have saved the lives of countless people with diabetes around the world. Myself included. We all have different things that are special to us and for which we are thankful.

What is special about this day for you right here, right now….

I am including additional information about this special day which has come to be known as the United Nations observed World Diabetes Day (WDD) in the file referenced here - https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BxDP62KLoEOVZ0w5d29aeFF1SGc/view?usp=sharing

All for me for now. Take gentle care,
