My Canterbury Tales of Health - The Poet's Tale

I have lived with chronic illnesses almost my whole life, and have gone through periods of being extremely well and times of bring extremely unwell too.  I have been healthy enough to run three marathons on three continents with dreams of running a marathon on every continent and have been unhealthy enough to scarcely be able to read, write, talk or move.  Since my body and brain are not working as I would like, and since I will always be a scribe at heart, once I was well enough I was inspired to write about my journey.  I have always loved the concept of "The Canterbury Tales" by Geoffrey Chaucer.  In his fictitious tale, Chaucer's own Scribe character documents the stories of a diverse group of people who are brought together by circumstance on a shared journey. Processing my own health journey, my lifetime of health writing is coming together to form an evolving collection that I have named "My Canterbury Tales of Health" - some of these works are new and some are not so new but it is my intention to continue to add the newer and older entries here - as I have already started to do in my online writing portfolio - My Scribe's Tale....

The three poem collection -  "My Trinity of Health" - that I  am sharing here is definitely not my first writing about health but it is an important one nonetheless as it was when I was making my way back to writing after being very unwell that I discovered through poetry and other important lessons that often less can be more.  With apologies and appreciation to Mr. Chaucer, I present this Trinity of Poetry segment of "My Canterbury Tales of Health..."  - Here is the link...

All for me for now.  Take gentle care,
