Looking Back - An Important Part of MY Journeywork - A Collaborative Book About HEALTH

"How do we say health?" is one of my most important pieces of writing.  It relates to health which has necessarily been a big part of my life.  I first took action to share this book around the April 2011 United Nations Global Health Day.  It is a piece that came to be at a time when I was growing more and more unwell myself and ended up having to leave the work I love at Nova Scotia Community College - NSCC.  I ended up off work for an extended period and experiencing great difficulties.  Through the help of many I have been able to make it back to work and I wanted to take action to more formally share this resource.  It truly was a lifetime in the making through my own personal and work experiences relating to health, as well as my formal, informal and non-formal education through an undergraduate degree specializing in health, an Interdisciplinary Masters Degree focusing on human development and my ongoing journeywork with applied community college learning.  This collaborative effort has many influences and sources of inspiration and assistance.  Thank you to all of you - some of you know who you are and some of you may not but you are all in this - an important part of this collaborative piece exploring what health means...

I hope that having the words "Collaboratively created by" as a part of this publication would do justice to the truth that ALL scribes benefit from the efforts of those who came before...

"How do we say health?" - Reflection
I most definitely encourage you to continue the health dialogue - this link leads to a one page printable health reflection to help you start to imagine what health really means to you and the different ways you say health... I am always interested to learning more about health, so please do continue the conversation...
