Well it has taken me over a month to get back to this "to do" item, but I have finally gotten back to it, and finished it. Well, that statement is deceiving - the writing of my thesis was finished many, many moons ago. But now, at long last, I have been able to resuscitate an electronic version of the file and enable the entire thesis document to be accessible online.
This was not as easy a task as it might appear. The original thesis file existed as a Corel WordPerfect file. I had been so proud of myself for being sure to keep an electronic version of the file from so long ago. But it proved all for naught as when I went to try to make the document accessible for online, I succeeded in corrupting the only version of the file on my home computer. My plan was sound - make the inaccessible version of the electronic file accessible by converting it to a web-accessible PDF version. Needless to say, the process was quickly halted with a few illegal operations - apparently things have changed in the world of copying, pasting, rich text format & PDF conversion since the initial version of MY file.
Lucky for me, some time ago I had made an "offsite" backup of all my home files (which reminds me that I am overdue to update that backup else I might be missing some more recent versions of my more recent files...always more to do...) It took some electronic "fandangling" to get the graphics and formatting to work with the newer version of the file. However, after much patience and perseverance - surprising on my part - I have experienced success. Through many steps of copying, pasting, adjusting formatting and working between two electronic documents I now have an updated Microsoft Word version of my 1994 thesis. From the new document I was able to create a web accessible Adobe Acrobat Portable Document Format file (PDF) version of my original thesis...So, without further ado, here it is...

All for me for now. Take gentle care, SLRSB 8)
P.S. - As a post script to my post script it has now occurred to me that I was able to make the two electronic versions of the thesis files match. However, I will now have to go back and check that the original printed version of the thesis has page numbers that coincide (at least approximately) with the electronic versions...
