Looking Forward ...

For a long time I have had the nickname of "The Scribe" - Writing, letters, visual symbols & words mean a lot to me.  The process of writing seems to be a big part of how I process information and understand a story.  I have to concentrate really hard when listening to a story and actually prefer to watch films, shows and videos with the closed captioning and described video when it is available :)  I just like seeing the words as they are being spoken or sung.  This may be partly because I think my hearing is starting to go - my Dad was hard of hearing and his father was also hard of hearing and wore a hearing aid.  Although my husband would counter that I am just not paying close enough attention, I do seem to have a really hard time picking up on the spoken words of conversation - especially when there is a group of people involved.

One of the things I really like about the scribe nickname is the repeated consonant "s" when paired with my first given name Susan or casual name Sue to create the beautifully repetitive alliteration...There are so many beautiful S words that I can change the connotation of "Sue the Scribe" to "Sue the Stubborn Scribe" (often), "Sue the Soulful Scribe" (sometimes) among so many other beautiful S words...

This blog is the ongoing journeywork of Sue the Scribe - The ongoing tale of a scribe's journey to sow, share & scatter seeds...  This byline / mantra was actually inspired by a short, animated film I watched many moons ago called "The Man Who Planted Trees" (French: L'homme qui plantait des arbres) - a 1987 Canadian film directed by Frédéric Back.  The thirty minute film is a beautifully animated story based on a book with the same name by Jean Giono (published in 1953).

My ongoing journey to sow, share & scatter seeds continues...
