I start with hello & welcome in the six official languages of the United Nations...

                                     Welcome (English)

                        ترحيب  (Arabic)

                 歡迎 (Chinese – Simplified)

                                            Accueil (French)

                    добро пожаловать (Russian)

            Bienvenido (Spanish)

         Pjila'si (Mi’kmaq)

I've also included greetings in Mi’kmaq - Pjila'si - with honour and respect to Nova Scotia’s First Nations Culture, an important part of my own family heritage...

For quite some time and to many different people my nickname has been "the Scribe" - some might extend that to "a Stubborn Scribe..." and even though I acknowledge my red-hair trait and like the alliteration of repeated S words, I would probably substitute the more positive "perseverant" for stubborn ;)   Some call me a scribe because I take the most notes in meetings - that may be true - others consider me a scribe because I love to write - that is true also - but I think the main thing that makes me a scribe is my desire to help create and share collaborative stories - to ensure that the important stories can be shared and learned from for generations to come.  This may and does include stories of one individual, one group, one family, one team, one cohort, one division, one school, one campus, one college, one community, one province, one country, one world, one universe.  That gives me hope - the notion that together we create and share stories that help leave the world better and stronger than we found it.

This blog is a learning tool - a space I needed, sought out and created to be able to share some of the collaborative stories with which I have had the privilege to be involved.  I welcome your suggestions, input, ideas, comments suggestions and feedback.  This is an evolving ever changing site and I look forward to seeing how it grows and changes with me.

All for now - take gentle care,
